Welcome to Indianapolis Athletic Club [IAC Lofts] <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=http://www.iaclofts.com/">!

Welcome to the website of the Indianapolis Athletic Club, located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. Here you will find neighborhood happenings and community information about one of the hottest downtown addresses. (If you are an IAC resident, it is important that you log in (see column on your left) in order to enable you to access the content of our website. A number of stories on this home page are accessible only to registered homeowners and residents)

Our location is awesome—halfway between Mass Ave and the Canal (east to west); and half way between the library and Circle Center Mall and everything else downtown (north to south)! And across the street from University Park and the War Memorial Building.

Our facility is not only historic, but also full of amenities not found in other condo developments downtown—the basketball gym, the fitness center, the racquetball and squash courts, the virtual golf, available storage space, a conference room, and even a grand piano in the lobby. And we have thousands of square feet of common area.

Our community of residents is exceptional—exceptionally diverse (all ages and many ethnic backgrounds); exceptionally friendly (don’t hesitate to knock on one of our doors if you need to borrow a cup of sugar); and exceptionally committed and educated people who enjoy a challenge, enjoy life, and enjoy the excitement of downtown urban living.

We have eighty-two units ranging in size from 752 sq. ft to 4200 sq. ft. Each unit is custom designed by the homeowner to maximize funtionality, appearance, and quality of living.

Our vision is to remain the premier downtown condo location in Indianapolis. Our Board of Directors and Action Committee structure provide the opportunity for all residents to participate in maintaining and enhancing our facility and life in our “IAC Neighborhood.”

IAC Mission Statement

Our mission is to enhance the lives of all of our residents by creating a harmonious living environment, an esthetically pleasing facility, a sense of community, and a fiscally prudent approach to maximizing the value of our property.

We center all of our relationships, activities, and decisions on these nine values developed by our residents:

Respect. We respect each other, our facility, and our governing documents.

Community. We strive as neighbors to build a greater sense of community.

Diversity. We recognize that we are a diverse, yet inclusive, community.

Transparency. We will make every effort to be open and transparent regarding resident concerns, financial well-being, and board decisions.

Security. We work together to ensure a safe and secure living environment.

Preservation. We preserve and enhance the historic elegance and legacy of our building.

Financial Integrity. We demonstrate fiscal responsibility and work toward long-term financial strength by means of prudent and “future focused” financial decisions. We maintain reasonable dues and assessments which are sensitive both to inflation and our surrounding market.

Community Advocacy. We care about our downtown community, support civic events, and become a resource to enhance the quality and environment of our neighborhood.

Enhanced Value. We work steadily toward increasing the desirability and value of our facility.

Lobby Marble Project Begins

IAC Owners and Residents,

On Monday February 6th, the long awaited project of pulling up the carpet in the lobby and cleaning and polishing the marble underneath will begin. The Board and the House Committee have been developing this project for several years. Multiple companies were evaluated based on quality and value. Sites were visited throughout Indianapolis to review previous marble projects and bids were collected from candidates. Santarossa Mosaic and Tile Company was selected due to its reputation for quality, service, and its competitive pricing.

Carpet removal will begin in the lobby on Monday morning, and the project is expected to last two to three weeks. Santarossa will be moving their equipment into the building through the garage and the freight elevator. Residents are likely to hear noise from grinding throughout the project. The severely damaged marble in the Meridian Street entry will be removed and new marble installed. This process will require some jack hammering. Vitrification chemicals will be used, which may result in some temporary odor in the building.

Individuals familiar with the Indianapolis Athletic Club’s historical facilities have informed us the marble floor under the carpet is of high quality and includes ornate IAC logos. We anticipate that the result will be a beautiful marble floor in our lobby. The House Committee is requesting that any available volunteers assist moving furniture in the lobby on Monday morning at 7:30am.

Super Bowl Security

Dear Residents,

Trust you are all enjoying the festivities and the great weather!

We are all excited to have visitors this week and to show off our city and our community. As we do have a number of guests in our building, it would be best to keep our doors locked in case someone confuses their unit number. Also, we have found the chain to be effective in preventing unauthorized parking in our south lot. Please make sure we reconnect the chain after we have entered or exited. If you have any issues maneuvering the chain, please ask Carl or Roger (security) to assist.

Have a great time this weekend!

Thanks.
